Welcome! I'm so excited you're checking out my blog! About a year ago while my 2 friends and I were going on our regular summer morning walk we were discussing possibilities for my friend Melissa's upcoming wedding. She asked me if I would play at her reception and I agreed, but it got me thinking; "Wouldn't it be nice if couples could have a little more say in what kind of music was performed at their wedding?" and..... voila! My idea emerged! I decided I wanted to set up a website where someone could browse, pick, and choose the genre and even the exact pieces they would like to hear at their event. Now, one year later, I am working with one of my Professors, Dr. Olson, on a Honors Contract that is making this idea into a reality. It has been a real learning experience maneuvering my way around the blogging world, but its been really quite fun! My next project will begin this Wednesday when I'll begin recording a selection of my pieces and posting them on the "repertoire-how it works" page. After that I'll be working on making a CD Sampler I can send to interested clients. It's a real work-in-progress and I'd love to hear any comments or suggestions you may have about improving the blog or anything else!
